Frontier Fiber starts at $29.99 per month for 200 Mbps and tops out at 7 Gig for $124.99, with symmetrical speeds, a Wi-Fi 7 router included on every plan and no data caps. On paper, that is one of the lowest fiber entry prices in our comparison and one of the fastest residential tiers on our list.
The fine print is where Frontier gets complicated. The entry price is a 12-month promo that requires Auto Pay and paperless billing, some promotions require a contract with a possible early termination fee, and a waived installation fee can be clawed back pro-rata if you cancel in year one. Satisfaction is mixed: 72 in the 2026 ACSI study for Frontier Fiber, with second-place J.D. Power regional results in the South and West. Plans and pricing (as of October 30, 2026)
Prices below come from HighSpeedInternet.com’s Frontier plans page and require Auto Pay and Paperless Bill. Speeds are maximum wired speeds and vary by location.
- Entry tier: Fiber 200 — 200 Mbps download / 200 Mbps upload, $29.99 per month for 12 months. Frontier states its fiber is symmetrical; HSI’s table lists symmetric speeds only for 500 Mbps and up, so the 200 Mbps upload figure rests on Frontier’s statement.
- Middle tiers: Fiber 500 for $44.99, Fiber 1 Gig for $64.99, Fiber 2 Gig for $79.99 and Fiber 5 Gig for $104.99.
- Top tier: Fiber 7 Gig — 7,000 Mbps download / 7,000 Mbps upload, $124.99 per month.
The post-promo price for Fiber 200 is not disclosed, so we could not verify what the bill becomes after month 12. HSI explicitly warns to “watch for a hike after 12 months.”
Fees and fine print
- Contract: Not technically required, but certain promotions, especially gift card offers, require a contract, according to HSI.
- Early termination fee: Possible if you cancel a promotion that required a contract. The amount is not stated, so we could not verify it.
- Equipment: Included. Every plan comes with a Wi-Fi 7 router, and Whole-Home Wi-Fi mesh is free with 1 Gig and faster. Frontier’s own blog confirms no monthly equipment rental fees.
- Installation: $100 for fiber installation, usually waived. Self-install is free if the home previously had Frontier fiber. If the fee was waived and you disconnect within the first year, Frontier may charge it back pro-rata.
- Data cap: None, and no throttling.
- AutoPay and paperless: The advertised price assumes both. Drop either and the price changes.
Speed and reliability
Frontier Fiber is fiber-to-the-home, so upload and download speeds match, the main technical advantage over the cable providers in our comparison for video calls, uploads and backups. Frontier’s record also lists legacy copper DSL, which we could not verify in the sources reviewed; this review covers fiber only.
In the 2026 ACSI study, Frontier Fiber scored 72, up from 71. Frontier’s non-fiber service scored 63, up from 58, a reminder that the copper and fiber experiences are very different.
The J.D. Power 2026 U.S. Residential ISP Satisfaction Study placed Frontier second among wired providers in the South (604) and the West (567), and scored it 542 in the East.
Where it’s available
A CNET analysis syndicated on AOL lists Frontier in 29 states with about 6% nationwide coverage. Fiber is not available everywhere in that footprint, so check your address for fiber specifically, not just for Frontier service.
